Installation of Allocatus Server

Prerequisites

Logon on with Adminstrator rights on the computer running Project Server. If the logon account does not have System Administrator permissions on the SQL Server, note an account with appropriate rights, e.g. sa.

Note: All Administrators on the machine running SQL Server have the required permissions by default.

Execute the Setup

Note for Windows Server 2003:

  • If enhanced security configuration for Internet Explorer is enabled in your computer, please disable it or add the sites download.microsoft.com und www.installengine.com to the trusted sites during install time.
  • Please make sure that ASP.NET is enabled for Internet Information Services (IIS), see Control Panel /Add/Remove program/Add/Remove Windows Component/Application Server/Details/ASP.NET.

Run the Allocatus Server Setup on the computer running Project Server and follow the instructions.

Click 'Next'

Select 'I accept the terms in the license agreement' and click 'Next'

Click 'Next'

Allocatus Server Administrator Contact

Click 'Next'

Allocatus Server Setup Type

Click 'Next'

Allocatus Server Database Connection

Select the database server where the Project Server database is running and where you want to create the Allocatus database. Select Windows Authentication, if the currently log on user has System Administrator permissions on the SQL Server. If not enter the credentials of an appropriate account, e.g. sa. Click 'Next'

Allocatus Server Ready for installation

Click 'Install'

Allocatus Server Installation Completed

Click 'Finish'

Allocatus uses a setup with the latest technology. That means (but is not limited to) that on uninstall all components of Allocatus will be removed. Only the database and the Allocatus SQL Server login are left and can then be deleted manually.
